
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Paralegal to join our growing Estate Planning and Elder Law practice. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of case management and document preparation while supporting attorneys in delivering thoughtful, client-centered legal services. The Paralegal will play a key role in ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a high standard of care for our clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney (POA), Health Care Proxies (HCP), HIPAA authorizations, Deeds, and other estate planning instruments
- Prepare documents for execution, ensuring accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance with legal requirements
- Coordinate and manage client files from intake through completion, maintaining organized and up-to-date records
- Communicate with clients, families, and third parties in a professional and compassionate manner
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including probate and guardianship matters as needed
- Conduct deed and title searches via the Register of Deeds (ROD) and assist with recording documents (e.g., via Simplifile)
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks across multiple matters
- Support client meetings by preparing materials and following up on action items
- Assist with general administrative and office tasks as needed

- Professional, empathetic demeanor when working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their families
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in estate planning, elder law, or a related practice area preferred
- Experience drafting estate planning documents and legal correspondence preferred
- Familiarity with probate and guardianship processes preferred
- Experience with document recording systems such as Simplifile preferred
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: (commensurate with experience)
